Our Programs
Dairy project:
- The selected 12 Dalit women are very poor. Earlier they look after the animals of land lords. But now the women are owners of animals (buffalos). One she buffaloes is equal to one acre of land. They women are feeling securely with their asset.
- 12 women became self-reliant, they are getting nearly Rs.6500/- per month by selling milk. This amount helping them to develop their family. Their children getting good food daily and attaining schooling also.
- The women started small savings every month. Saving 350 rupees every month.
- Initial training programs helped them in animal care and given good effective results in this project. Because of trainings they are strictly doing some activities like caring about animals, vaccination in time to time, cleaning the premises of animal sheds, health check-ups, proper feeding etc… and also strictly saving some money every month.
- Because of this project many of the children getting nutritious food daily and in position to concentrate on their studies.
- Slowly poverty conditions are reduced in the target families. No starvations at present. Most of the women left the hard-labour work. Now going to agriculture related work, animal care.
- Conducting a meeting every month and formed self-help groups, discussing about their future plans.
Self-Development of Poor women through Tailoring
The Tailoring center will be located at the target area i.e., Dalit and tribal colony the proposed place of training center is the nearest and the suitable place for all the 15 Cristian poor women. The 15 women will be divided into 3 batches at 5 members at each group. The program is envisaged to improve socio-economic conditions of women. We generally observe that economic security creates a lot of self confidence among women and their status both in their household and the society will be enhanced. After completion of training program our organization will distributed new sewing machines to our 15 women beneficiaries, to enable these women to under take their self employee activities of stitching the garments at their villages independently and does they can earn good income.
Drinking Water project
This project was implemented in Rammannagaripalle Village of Nellore District. A bore well will be installed by drilling of 225 feet depth in the center point of the target people houses. Construction of water plant with 6 feet height near by bore well. In the bottom side of the water tank 10 taps will be arranged to draw water. They will be equipped with the skills and knowledge in order to enable them to carry out the health and sanitation education activities and also participate in the regular maintenance of the hand pumps, motor and taps in order to ensure a sustainable supply of clean and safe drinking water.
COVID- 19 Emergency Relief
V.D.S Team distributed the food essential commodities viz., Rice, Wheat Flour, Cooking Oil, Sugar, Salt, Dhal, Dry coconut, Tamarind, Chili Powder, Vegetables, Fruits and Hygiene items viz., Masks, Soaps and Hand washing Liquids, to 750 poor households at 50 villages of Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh State. The distributed commodities feed these households for up to one month during the lockdown period. In addition to the food items distribution, V.D.S Team conducted awareness to the village people on how to effectively prevent the Corona virus. The Health Worker organized Awareness Creation among the People Regarding the Safe Practices for Avoiding Corona virus Infection.
DRILLINNG OF BORE WELLS
The project was implemented in Mangupalli Village of in Nellore district. The poor SC families who had lands were kept ideally without water facilities in this borewell water provided the lands will be irrigated and get good yielding their poverty will be eradicated women may also be empowered. Water is said to be the live blood of agriculture with the increasing scarcity of water day-by-day agriculture will continue to the better meant life of about target beneficiaries. To improve the waste land and bring it under cultivation providing water facilities through irrigation borewell, to improve the environmental crises and maintain the ecological balance. To implement income generation program to women folk and to provide continues employment to avoid poverty and to develop the land.
